The Couple

When I think about Payton and Marshall, it could be easy to only think about their wedding in Colorado at Three Peaks Ranch. But what comes to mind easier is two people with more joy than most! I have never seen two people with bigger smiles on their faces than Payton & Marshall. I was recommended to Payton by a mutual photographer friend of mine and feel SO grateful that these are the kind of people I get to spend my weekends with. Their love is a deep, confident love that I am beyond positive will last in every lifetime.

The Venue

Three Peaks Ranch is an absolutely stunning wedding venue in Westcliffe, Colorado that if I could shoot at for every wedding I would never complain. The venue was built with such intention and beyond the gorgeous structures on the property, the view of the mountains is unmatched.

The venue owners Seth and his husband, Kyle built the venue with so much purpose, and currently only take 20 weddings per year. On their instagram page, they said this about their reasoning:

As a vendor who sometimes takes on a bit more work than I probably should, I love their commitment to keeping things special for each couple!

The Wedding Day

I arrived right at dusk the night before the wedding after a two and a half hour drive from Denver, and the fog was so thick that the mountains were invisible. We were all waiting with bated breath to see how the weather would be the following day for the wedding, and when we woke up it was as clear as could be and an absolutely STUNNING day.

The girls were SO FUN and joyous all morning. We popped champagne, and frolicked through the field no matter how windy it was. The morning of their weddign is what every bride dreams of: calm, no stress, and the sweetest day imaginable.

The wind picked up fairly strongly through the mid morning, and right up until the ceremony was about to start it was still blowing the florals over! As soon as Payton started walking down the aisle, the wind relaxed and the ceremony was a perfect and holy moment in time that I still get chills thinking of. 

We partied into the evening and I have the biggest smile on my face reliving this day and I hope as you read you feel like you were right there with us. Colorado has so many stunning venues, and Three Peaks Ranch is at the top of my list.
