Three Peaks Ranch | A Colorado Wedding Day Full of Joy

When I think about Payton and Marshall it is so easy to concentrate only on the wedding day itself. But, what comes to mind more easily is thinking about two people with more joy than most! I have never seen a couple with bigger smiles on their faces than Payton and Marshall. Their connection is a deep, confident love that I am beyond positive will last a lifetime. See what it means to capture such love at this Three Peaks Ranch wedding in Colorado.

Three Peaks Ranch is an absolutely stunning wedding venue in Westcliffe, Colorado. If I could shoot there for every wedding I photograph then I would never complain. The venue was built with such intentionality, and beyond the gorgeous structures on the property, the view of the mountains is unmatched.

The venue owners Seth, and his husband, Kyle, built the space with so much purpose in mind. They currently only take 20 weddings per year to maintain the level of care they want for all of their couples. As the owners put it, “we limit our season to 20 weddings so every couple receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. Just you, your people, and a private ranch with unforgettable mountain views.”
As a vendor who sometimes takes on a bit more work than I probably should, I love their commitment to keeping things simple so it can be equally special for every couple! The owners explained their reasoning, “we limit our season so your wedding feels like it belongs only to you.” Here’s what that looks like at a Three Peaks Ranch wedding:

I arrived right at dusk the night before the wedding after a two-and-a-half hour drive from Denver. The fog was so thick that the mountains were invisible. We were all waiting with bated breath to see how the weather would be the following day for the wedding. When we woke up, it was as clear as could be and an absolutely STUNNING day.
The girls were SO FUN and joyous all morning. We popped champagne, and I captured the bridesmaids frolicking through the field with the bride no matter how windy it was. The morning of their wedding was what every bride dreams of: calm, no stress, and the sweetest day imaginable.
I was recommended to Payton by a mutual photographer friend of mine and I feel SO grateful that these are the kind of people I get to spend my weekends with!
The wind picked up fairly strongly throughout the mid morning. Right up until the ceremony was about to start it was still blowing the florals over! As soon as Payton started walking down the aisle, the wind relaxed just in time. The ceremony was a perfect and holy moment that I still get chills thinking about.Â

We partied into the evening and I have the biggest smile on my face reliving the day as these photos make it feel like I’m right back there again. Colorado has so many stunning venues, and Three Peaks Ranch is at the top of my list.
