3 Reasons Why Adventure Sessions Are So Valuable

If you’ve already had the big, traditional wedding (or you still really want to) BUT you also LOVE the idea of eloping, here’s the best middle ground solution: ADVENTURE SESSIONS. I’m sharing my top three reasons why adventure sessions are so valuable!

The term “adventure session” can mean anything you really want it to mean. To me, it’s a great excuse to throw your wedding dress back on and experience a beautiful place with your favorite person!

Maybe I’m biased since I’m an adventure session photographer, but here are some of the biggest reasons I am a HUGE advocate for post-wedding adventure sessions!!!!

#1 It’s the best of both worlds.

As a photographer who got my start by shooting bigger, more traditional weddings, I completely understand how special they are. It is amazing to have all of your favorite people in one place celebrating you and your honey!

Although I’m not married, I have experienced enough weddings to know how unique that is!! If this is just something that you don’t want to give up by eloping, but you also LOVE the adventurous elopement look, then an adventure session is the perfect fit!

An adventure session is truly the best of both worlds. You could find a photographer in your honeymoon location and book a shoot with them. Or the next time you take a trip, pack along your dress and suit and have some FUN! You will be able to have beautiful photos in a stunning location without all of the wedding day stress! Feels almost too good to be true!

#2 You get to put your beloved dress BACK ON!

Another reason why adventure sessions are a BLAST is you get to experience more time in your beautiful white dress!!! You searched on Pinterest or Instagram and you may have been to dozens of bridal shops to find THE dress. It was worn once on your wedding day…and then what? For most brides, after that it just sits in their closet.

After I get married, I’ll be looking for any excuse to throw that thing back on! Even if it gets dirty!! I know you want to get your money’s worth out of it, and I want you to too!!

#3 It’s an excuse to travel to a fresh location with your spouse and have completely new adventures!

Lastly, I cannot advocate enough for adventure sessions because they’re simply FUN!! There isn’t any pressure, timeline, or any venue restrictions. You can quite literally go anywhere you want, and just bring a photographer with you!

Maybe there is a location that means so much to you that having photos taken there would be SO special. Or maybe you both LOVE traveling and want to experience a new location in a fresh way?! The possibilities are endless!
